By the end of the year 2018 Africans will be able to enter all 54 African countries, thanks to the new Pan-African passport. With the new passport, comes a new plan to enable free movement of people and facilitate trade.

From the summer of 2016, all African presidents and ministers of foreign affairs have their Pan-African passport. ''Now we want all Africans to have these passports," said Khabele Matlosa, Head of the African Union's Political Affairs (AU).
The theme "Free movement of people in Africa" took place on 26-28 May 2017 in the Kigali workshop, where was brought out the necessity of opening borders and promoting trade.
